Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch and Flinders Chase National Park
What you see at Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, the Flinders Chase entry fee (A$14.90 a day, NPWS), the Kangaroo Island Tour Pass, wind closures, and the tours that go there.
Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch are the two sights at the western end of Kangaroo Island, in Flinders Chase National Park, about 5 km apart in a straight line and 156 km by road from the ferry at Penneshaw (routed). One-day entry to the park is A$14.90 for an adult (NPWS, valid to 30 June 2027). SeaLink South Australia’s Kangaroo Island Full Day Experience by Ferry Including Lunch spends its afternoon at both, from US$280 a person (checked November 2026), with national park entry fees in the price.
The calendar above is the coach and ferry day from Adelaide, with 1,467 reviews (checked November 2026).
The short answer
Both are worth the long drive, and the coach days from Adelaide go to both. On a tour, park entry is in the price. Driving yourself, buy one-day entry at A$14.90 an adult, or two-day entry at A$22.40 if you stay nearby; the Kangaroo Island Tour Pass at A$95.00 comes out about even only if you visit all five places it covers. Both sights may close in damaging winds, and the park closes on Catastrophic fire danger days (NPWS).
Remarkable Rocks
A cluster of huge granite boulders sits on a granite dome above the Southern Ocean, shaped by wind, sea spray and rain and patched with orange lichen. You walk around them; the coach day from Adelaide gives this its own stop. The visitor facilities here were rebuilt after the 2019-20 bushfires, with a new boardwalk and viewing platform (NPWS).

Admirals Arch
Admirals Arch is a sea arch near the Cape du Couedic lighthouse, reached by a boardwalk that runs down the cliff face. Long-nosed fur seals rest on the rocks around it and swim in the surf below. The coach day walks the boardwalk; Adelaide Sightseeing’s day tour on Viator also passes the Cape du Couedic lighthouse.

NPWS Kangaroo Island Tour Pass compare-prices page, checked November 2026. Flinders Chase entry is payable online or at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre, and it includes the Cape Borda Lightstation self-guided tour.
NPWS’s own Flinders Chase park page shows other figures in two places; the fees above are from its compare-prices page, which sets every fee side by side. The Tour Pass covers Flinders Chase plus Seal Bay, Cape Borda, the Cape Willoughby Lightstation tour and the Kelly Hill Caves tour for 12 months, and it is sold in person only, at the Flinders Chase and Seal Bay visitor centres, the Cape Willoughby information centre and the NPWS office in Kingscote. Driving yourself works out when it pays.

The coach day’s morning stop is Seal Bay, where listings describe a guided walk on the beach; NPWS paused beach access from 17 August 2026 because of bird flu, and the boardwalk stays open with a roaming guide (as of November 2026). The two island days above do not stop at Seal Bay.
